# Atlas > Atlas is the open-source desktop app that runs Claude Code, Codex, the Gemini CLI and DeepSeek on all your accounts and machines. When one plan hits its limit, the task moves on to the next, and Atlas learns how you work as it goes. Every page of this site is also served as Markdown: add `.md` to its path, or send `Accept: text/markdown`. The documentation follows the latest Atlas on the main branch. ## Docs - [What Atlas is](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs.md): Atlas is an open-source personal agent with a desktop app, and the place where your coding agents run on every account and every machine. - [Install](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/install.md): Install Atlas with one line on Windows, macOS or Linux, or run it in a container, then add a key and turn on your coding agents. - [Troubleshooting](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/troubleshooting.md): What to do when Atlas does not install, start, answer, find a coding agent, update or reach another machine, and where its log is. - [Questions and answers](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/faq.md): Short answers to what people ask about Atlas: cost, accounts, usage limits, privacy, models, safety, phones and other machines, each with the page that says more. - [Coding agents and accounts](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/coding-agents.md): Run Claude Code, Codex, the Gemini CLI and DeepSeek inside Atlas on all your accounts, switch accounts mid-conversation, and give each session a route for when a plan runs out. - [Several machines](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/machines.md): Install Atlas on a home lab, a VPS or the office PC and open it from the app on your laptop, over Tailscale or an SSH tunnel. - [Models and keys](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/models.md): Choose the model Atlas's own agent runs on: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or OpenRouter with your key, or a local model through Ollama or vLLM, and see what it spends. - [Memory](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/memory.md): What Atlas remembers, where it keeps it, how it reaches the model, and which changes wait for your approval. - [The background review](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/background-review.md): When Atlas rereads a conversation to learn from it, what it may change in your profile, notes and skills, and what it costs. - [Bots](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/bots.md): Make a bot and talk to it: what its definition holds, and what it shares with the home. - [Routines](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/routines.md): Have Atlas run a prompt or a command on a schedule, in plain words or cron: a morning summary, a daily backup, a check every hour. - [Telegram](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/telegram.md): Talk to Atlas from your phone through a Telegram bot of your own, send it files and voice notes, and answer your coding agents' questions and permission requests from the chat. - [Voice and dictation](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/voice.md): Dictate into any program on your computer with one key, send Atlas audio, hear its answers, and talk to it live, all through OpenAI on your own key. - [The browser](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/browser.md): Atlas drives a Chrome of its own to read and act on websites: its own profile you sign into once, a clean or headless window, and the steps it leaves for you. - [Skills and the marketplace](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/marketplace.md): Find and install skills, MCP servers, plugins and executors other people made for Atlas, each reviewed and pinned to the code that was reviewed, and use skills with a slash. - [The approval gate](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/approval-gate.md): How Atlas checks each command before it runs, what always asks you, what never runs, and what auto mode changes. - [Privacy and your data](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/privacy.md): What Atlas keeps on your machine, what leaves it and to whom, how your keys are protected, and what the agent can and cannot reach. - [Backups, updates and homes](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/guides/backups.md): Back up everything Atlas knows in one zip without the keys, restore it on another machine, keep separate homes for work and personal life, and update Atlas from the app. - [Commands](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/reference/commands.md): Every `atlas` command and what it takes, written from the command line's own parser. - [Settings](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/reference/settings.md): Every setting of `config.toml`: its default, the `ATLAS_*` variable that wins over it, and what it does, written from the code. - [Tools](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/reference/tools.md): Every tool the agent has, when it has it, and what it takes. - [Writing a plugin](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/docs/extending/plugins.md): Write a plugin: its folder and manifest, and the skills, commands, hooks, tools, channels and executors it can add. ## Site - [Home](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/index.md): what Atlas does, in short, and how to install it - [News](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/news.md): summaries of what changes in the models and tools Atlas works with - [Changelog](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/changelog.md): every change that reaches the app's Update button ## Optional - [Complete documentation](https://atlas-site.atlas.workers.dev/llms-full.txt): every page of the documentation in one file -
